Life After Death According to Allah and Rasul

A man will have intercourse in Paradise with his wives from among  al-hoor al-‘iyn  and his wives from among the people of this world, if they enter Paradise with him. A man will be given the strength of a hundred men to eat, drink, feel desire and have sexual intercourse. It was narrated from Anas (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “The believer in Paradise will be given such and such strength for sexual intercourse.” He was asked, “O Messenger of Allaah, will he really be able to do that?” He said, “He will be given the strength of one hundred (men).”  (Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, no. 2459. The person who has the least blessings in Paradise is the last person to enter paradise. He will think that he is the most blessed among the dwellers of paradise. Abu Sa’eed al-Khudri (may Allaah be pleased with him) said that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “The lowest of people in status in Paradise will be a man whose face Allaah turns away from the Fire towards Paradise, and shows him a tree giving shade. He will say, ‘O Lord, bring me closer to that tree so that I may be in its shade… Then he will enter his house [in Paradise] and his two wives from among al-hoor al-‘iyn will come in and will say to him, ‘Praise be to Allaah who brought you to life for us and brought us to life for you.’ Then he will say, ‘No one has been given what I have been given.’” (Narrated by Muslim, no. 275)

The description of al-hoor al-‘iyn is mentioned in more than one place in the Book of Allaah, such as the following: 1 – Allaah says, describing the reward of the people of Paradise (interpretation of the meaning): “And (there will be) Hoor (fair females) with wide lovely eyes (as wives for Al-Muttaqoon – the pious). 23. Like unto preserved pearls” [al-Waaqi’ah 56:22, 23] al-Sa’di (may Allaah have mercy on him)said: “ And (there will be) Hoor (fair females) with wide lovely eyes”. Al-Hawra’ is a woman in whose eyes are lined with kohl, beautiful and bright. Al-‘iyn refers to beautiful and huge eyes. The beauty of eyes in the female is one of the greatest signs of beauty. “ Like unto preserved pearls ” means, as if they are pure, white, shining pearls, which are covered and protected from people’s eyes, the wind and the sun. The seriousness of committing zina is not just limited only to immediate punishment in this world, but the punishment in the Hereafter is harsher and more severe. It says in the hadeeth narrated by al-Bukhaari (7074) from Samurah ibn Jundub (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Last night two persons came to me and woke me up, and set off with me. … We went on and we came to something like a tannoor oven, in which there were shouting and voices. We looked inside and we saw naked men and women, towards whom flames were coming from the bottom of the oven. When the flames reached them they made a noise. I said to them [the two angels], ‘Who are these people? … They said to me, ‘We will tell you… the naked men and women in the structure like a tannoor oven are the adulterers and adulteresses.

This is a place of grief and sorrow. Its torments and troubles are far beyond imagination. It was fanned for a thousand years till it became quite red, then it was fanned for a further thousand years till it became white, and again it was fanned for a thousand years till it became black. Now it is quite black and dark.

This life is a test for each individual for the life after death. A day will come when the whole universe will be destroyed and the dead will be resurrected for judgment by God. This day will be the beginning of a life that will never end. This day is the Day of Judgment. On that day, all people will be rewarded by God according to their beliefs and deeds. Those who die while believing that “There is no true god but God, and Muhammad is the Messenger (Prophet) of God” and are Muslim will be rewarded on that day and will be admitted to Paradise forever, as God has said: And those who believe and do good deeds, they are dwellers of Paradise, they dwell therein forever. (Quran, 2:82)

The most important events that will happen on the Day of Judgement are when we will be held accountable for our deeds and when we will be questioned by our Lord Allah (S.W.T.). There are many Quranic verses and ahadith that tell us about these events so that the believers will prepare themselves for the most important, final test. They can prepare for this test with their strong faiths and with their righteous deeds. Allah (S.W.T.) says what could be translated as, "Draws near for mankind their reckoning, while they turn away in heedlessness." ( Surat Al-'Anbia', Verse 1) Also, He says what could be translated as, "Verily, to Us will be their return: -Then verily, for Us will be their Reckoning." ( Surat Al-Ghashiah, Verses 25 and 26)
